To carry out activities on the Base Torres trail, hiking with an authorized guide is mandatory. This measure is in effect from April 27 to August 30, 2026, inclusive. A complete list of authorized guides is available for consultation.
The mountain circuit (known as the W) will remain closed during June and July; only the Base Torres trail will be operational, accompanied by authorized guides. Those wishing to hike the trail during this closure period may request an exceptional authorization by coordinating with accredited tour operators and submitting a request along with the company's background information to the CONAF Magallanes Regional Office.

The closure of the Macizo Paine circuit (the O) has been moved up, extending until October 31, 2026.
